Judy A. Boyke, of Brewerton, passed away on April 8, 2026, in Syracuse, NY. She was born in Syracuse to Arthur and Helen Sadler.
Judy’s career was distinguished by her dedication, hard work and passionate commitment. She devoted over 30 years to General Electric, where she advanced to a prominent role in the heavy military department—an area seldom led by women during her time. Her entrepreneurial drive led her to own several businesses throughout the years. She was also a licensed real estate agent with Remax, where she took great pride in caring for her clients. Judy’s dedication extended beyond the professional realm to civic service in the Town of Cicero, where she served as Town Supervisor from 2010 to 2011 and then as a Town Counselor. Most recently, she was appointed to be the liaison for the town’s planning board.
Known for her strong personality and boundless energy, Judy was “a pack of dynamite in a small package,” as described by her husband, Ed. She was fiercely family-oriented, holding her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren close to her heart. Christmas Day was especially dear to her, a time she loved to spend surrounded by family. Judy was also an accomplished musician, talented in playing the piano, organ, and spoons.
Judy’s legacy is carried forward by her loving husband, Ed Boyke; her children, Candy McArdell (Walt) and Scott Woodard (Ellen); her grandchildren, Brien Woodard (Leighana), Brianna Lynch (Mike), Brandon McArdell, Tyler McArdell, Debora Navarro-Levesque (Chris), Zack Brown (Kennedy), and Shane Brown (Grace); great-grandchildren, Leighton, Levi, and Brice Woodard; Brooks and Emma Lynch; and Penny Levesque; sister, Jeanette Bridenbaugh; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Brown; parents, Arthur and Helen Sadler; brothers, William Sadler and Arthur Sadler, Jr.; her sister, Beverly Hardy; niece, Jody Brown; and son in law, Patrick Brown.
