Kathryn "Grandma Kitty" Ada Jones

Kathryn "Grandma Kitty" Ada Jones, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, in Syracuse, New York. Born on August 8, 1948, in Utica, NY Kathryn was known for her beautiful smile and eternal optimism. She was easy going, quick to laugh and brought joy to those around her.

As a devoted caretaker, she dedicated her life to ensuring that everyone around her was cared for and loved. Her selflessness was one of her best qualities, and it brought her immense joy to nurture those she loved, particularly children, who held a special place in her heart.When she wasn't spending time with family and friends, you could find her reading multiple books at once, developing new jam recipes or visiting her best-friend Karen in Florida.

Kathryn is survived by her three sons, Michael (Amber), Christian (Kelly), and Joseph (Sara) Bambino, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Layne, Ally, Kevin, Jillian, Derek, and Carter. She also leaves behind her brother, Robert (LouAnn) Jones, along with many nieces and nephews who will remember her warmth and kindness.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ada and Richard Jones, her brother, Dick Jones, and her sister, Betty Ann Jones. Kathryn will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her, and her legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
