Kenneth Roberts, lovingly known as Kenny or Ken, passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2025 at the age of 36 in Liverpool, NY.
Kenny was a comedian at heart with a goofy, offbeat sense of humor that could light up a room. He had a knack for pulling off perfect, yet ridiculous jokes, not to impress, but to make people smile. Making others laugh was how he connected, how he showed his love, and how he reminded those around him, not to take life too seriously.
He loved music, his interests stretched across many artist and genres, but he especially favored classic rock. Whether he was playing his guitar or blasting Ozzy Osbourne, Led Zeppelin, or ACDC, music was where Kenny felt most himself. It was his escape, his joy and a big part of the way he expressed his soul.
The thing that mattered most to Kenny, was his family and the relationships he formed over the years with his friends. He carried that love loudly, never shy about how much he cared, never quiet about the people who meant the world to him. If you were loved by Kenny, you knew it; No guessing, no holding back. He also had a deep bond with his dog, Haven. She was his snuggle buddy and constant companion, who brought him comfort, calm and unconditional love.
Kenny was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Antonia (Pawelek) Orton; his paternal grandparents, James Roberts and June Pipino.
He is survived by his mother, Mary (Orton) Roberts; his father, Ronald Roberts; his brother, Richard (Jessica Spicer) Roberts; and his niece, Sky Roberts.
His absence leaves an ache that words can't fill, but his laughter, music and fierce love, will live on in all of us.
Call hours will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 5-7PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse, where a memorial services will follow at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to help support the family during this difficult time, are greatly appreciated.
"I don't care what [music] they play at my funeral; they can put on a medley of Justin Bieber, Susan Boyle and We Are The Diddymen if it makes'em happy - but I do want to make sure it's a celebration, not a mope-fest."
