Lee D. Smith Sr.

 Lee D. Smith, 44, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at his daughter, Brionna's (Nate) home with loving family by his side. Lee was born in Syracuse, NY on December 20, 1980, son of Frederick W. Smith and Paula I. Kneeskern.

We want our son, father, brother, and friend to be remembered as a loving person, someone who cared about others around him. He was someone you could rely on to be there when you needed him. Most of all, a loving father and grandfather.  Lee enjoyed collecting coins and paper currency and treasured time spent with family.

Lee is survived by his loving children, Lee D Smith, Jr., Brionna M. (Nate Wood) Smith, Jordon I. Smith, and Destiny I. Smith; his parents, Paula I. Kneeskern and Frederick W. (Cathy Caswell) Smith; step daughter, Janiah Palerino; grandson, Caden "Caveman" A. Smith; ex-wife and mother of his children, Phyllis S. Burrell; siblings, Tnicka A. Smith, Tasha M. (Cyril E. Baxter Jr) Smith, Jessie W. (Mia M. Vick) Smith; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 4-6PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, with a sharing of memories to follow.
