Leo Gilles Charette

Leo Gilles Charette, 81, of North Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at the Cunningham Long Term Care Facility. Leo was born on September 1, 1942 in Aylmer, Quebec, Canada. He served in the US Army from 1960-63. Leo worked for the Minoa DPW until he moved to Tucson, AZ retiring from the University of Arizona as a grounds keeper in 2000. Leo and his wife Evelyn moved back to the Syracuse area in 2000 following the birth of their only grandchild, Chad.
He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn in 2009.
He is survived by his son, Edward (Kristin) Charette, grandson, Chad Charette, 2 brothers, Leo R. Charette, Jr., of E. Syracuse, Fern Glandon, Aylmer, Quebec, Canada, along with many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 6th at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero at 10:30am. Burial to follow at North Syracuse Cemetery.
