Leona M. Haynes, went to be with the lord on Sunday, May 24th surrounded in spirit by her loving family.
She was born on October 12, 1929. She was the daughter of Joseph and Edna DeBottis. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Robert Haynes; daughter, Bonnie Stone; and many siblings.
Her greatest source of pride was her five children who became strong, independent, hardworking, and caring adults. They provided her with great joy throughout her life. The love of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her love of cooking and baking made her life complete.
She is survived by her brother Michael DeBottis; her children, Roberta (Rodney) Carroll, Robert (Liz) Haynes, Ronald (Eileen) Haynes, Laurie (Richard) Thrasher; sister-in-law, Cveta Murphy; son-in-law David Stone; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be private for immediate family only but can be livestreamed from www.ourladyofhopesyr.org June 1st, 10am.
