Linda Haynes, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, at the age of 69, after a courageous battle with cancer that lasted two and a half years. Born on June 15, 1956, Linda was known for her loving nature and her remarkable spirit, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and warmth.
Linda was a woman who lived life to the fullest, cherishing precious moments spent at Green Lakes Beach and New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She shared countless joyful hours playing rummy and spades with family and friends, often accompanied by her love for scratch-off lottery tickets. A talented cook, she especially delighted in preparing scalloped potatoes and ham, a testament to her generous and caring disposition.
Her unwavering bravery and strength, combined with a personality that radiated kindness, endeared her to everyone who knew her. Linda had a heart of gold, always willing to lend an ear or a helping hand to those in need, making lasting impressions in the lives of her loved ones.
Linda leaves behind her husband, AJ Haynes, and her beloved children: Tracy (Shawn) Tierney, Jay (Virginia) Fatcheric, Kala Haynes, Chateia Haynes, and Tamera (Cierra) Garner. She was also the proud grandmother of Marissa, Alex, Jack, Madison, Mackenzie, Em, Nevaeh, Kaylee'onna, Faith, Bentley, Corey Jr., Yandel, Joe Jr., and Amelia and the cherished great-grandmother to Elaina, Adalyn, Rowin, Alison, and Ayden.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles and Doris Johns; her son, Shawn Fatcheric; her grandson, Shawn Tierney Jr.; and her siblings Ronald Cartwright, Sandra Huband, Michael Johns, and Tina Johns.
Linda's life was a tapestry woven with love, joy, and resilience. Her memories will forever be kept alive in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
