Lorraine C. (Rose) Wright

Lorraine “Lori” C. (Rose) Wright of Pennellville, NY, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born in Everett, MA, Lorraine grew up in East Boston and Somerville as one of ten spirited siblings, where she learned to be tough, funny, and full of heart. She later settled in Upstate New York, embracing country life and finding joy in nature, family, and her beloved dogs, BullyBoy and CamoBean. She had a soft spot for all animals and they loved her right back.

Lorraine had a natural talent in the kitchen and was truly a great cook. She loved Elvis, cheered for SU and the Buffalo Bills, and could always find a reason to laugh. A little mischief was part of her charm and she never said no to a trip to Turning Stone Casino.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Joseph Wright Jr.; her children, Ronald J. (Lynn) DeLeonardis Jr., Steven P. (James) DeLeonardis, and Christine (Michael) Kobre; her grandchildren, Ronald J. (Jennifer) DeLeonardis III, Michelle R. (Evan) DeLeonardis, Nicholas Kobre, and Christopher Kobre; and her great-grandchildren, Anastasia Rent and Elijah Rent. She is also survived by her brothers, William (Mary) Rose, James (Eileen) Rose, and Thomas (Wayne) Rose; her sister, Helen Bozzi; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Lorraine was predeceased by her father, John E. Rose, her mother Josephine (Galbo), her sister Elizabeth (Colantuoni), and her brothers John (Jack), Patrick, Harold, and Joseph.

Lorraine’s warmth, quick wit, and big heart made her truly one of a kind. Even in her final moments, she was cracking jokes, sharing stories, and making everyone laugh, sometimes against their better judgment.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 2-4pm with a service following at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 705 Main St., North Syracuse, NY.
