Louise M. (Arena) D'Ambrosio, 88 of North Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Elba, NY, she moved to Syracuse in 1945, where she worked for the VA as an advocate for the veterans returning home from WWII. Louise was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church.
She was predeceased in 1981 by her loving husband, Tony.
Surviving are her daughter, Donna (Bob) McCammon; two sons, Paul (Barb) D'Ambrosio and Anthony (Donna) D'Ambrosio; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are 2-5 PM on Sunday (Nov. 17) at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will be Monday, 10 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church.
Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
