Listen to Obituary

Lucinda “Cindy” Krosnicki, 69, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026. Lucinda was born in Syracuse on June 26, 1957, to Herbert and Dorothy Dashnaw. She worked for many years at Syracuse Developmental Center as a therapy aide.

Lucinda was a woman of deep faith and had an extraordinary love for her family. There was nothing she treasured more than the time she shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She adored each of them and took great joy in watching her family grow. Her sisters were among her closest friends, and the bond they shared was a source of love, laughter, and companionship throughout her life. She carried that same love into everything she did, always making room in her heart and her home for those who needed someone.

Lucinda had a generous spirit and cared deeply for both people and animals. She never hesitated to offer a helping hand, a place to stay, or simply a listening ear to someone in need. She had a way of making people feel welcomed, accepted, and loved, and her compassion touched many lives.

Lucinda shared more than 50 years of love and marriage with her beloved husband, Stanley Krosnicki, who preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her mother, Dorothy Griffin; her brother, Michael “Mickey” Dashnaw; and her sister, Marie Dashnaw.

Lucinda is survived by her children, Stevie Krosnicki, Tina Krosnicki, and TJ Krosnicki (Emily); her beloved grandchildren, Steven Krosnicki (Gabriel), Breanne Krosnicki, Kyla Krosnicki-Curran (Jalen), Max Krosnicki, and Mila Krosnicki; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Ocean Smith, Kyan Smith, and Galaxy Smith. She is also survived by her siblings, James Dashnaw (Debbie), Linda Jeffers, Debbie Armatas-Dashnaw, Jane Cast, and Jody Clukey, as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
