Throughout his life, Lyle exemplified dedication, warmth, and a deep commitment to both his family and community.
Lyle proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years, demonstrating a strong sense of duty and patriotism that remained with him throughout his life.
After his military service, he dedicated 17 years to working for Pepsi Co of Syracuse, where he was respected by colleagues for his hardworking nature and friendly demeanor. Alongside his late wife, Kathleen, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage, Lyle owned and operated a Post Standard franchise for 26 years, a testament to their joint entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to their community.
Known for his outgoing personality, Lyle had a passion for golf, often seizing any opportunity to play. He cherished the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing, which reflected his love of nature and adventure. His devotion extended to his beloved dog, Remi, who was a constant companion. In quieter moments, Lyle found joy in gardening and cooking a variety of dishes, sharing his creations with family and friends alike. His protective nature was evident in all relationships, underscoring the deep care he held for those closest to him.
Lyle is survived by his sister, Sharon Boyer, and nephews Michael Boyer and Bryan “Bubba” Boyer, who carry forward the legacy of his kindness and strength. His dog, Remi.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Roache, and his brother, Terry Roache, whose memories he held dear.
His life was marked by a steadfast devotion to family, service to his country, and a zest for the activities he loved. Lyle J. Roache will be remembered with great respect and affection by all who knew him as a man of integrity, warmth, and enduring passion.
