Margaret A. Gingalewski

1938 — 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Margaret Ann Gingalewski, who passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, in Syracuse, NY.

Born on September 10, 1936, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Ann was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose grace and compassion left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Ann graduated in 1956 from S. Horace Scott High School in Coatesville and later moved to Syracuse, New York, where she met Gerald (Jerry) Gingalewski. The two were married in 1973 and built a life together filled with love, dogs, and companionship. She spent many years working for Syracuse, China, until her retirement. She was a member of St. Daniel's Catholic church.

Ann and Jerry shared a deep bond and enjoyed many adventures traveling together over the years. Ann was a lifelong animal lover and a devoted dog mom. Her home was always filled with the joy and companionship of her cherished dogs, each one holding a special place in her heart. She was especially devoted to her many nieces and nephews, taking pride in their lives and treating them with warmth and encouragement.

Ann was the beloved daughter of the late H. Joseph and Margaret Fryer Krauss, and was predeceased by her sister, Arlene Krauss. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Gingalewski of Syracuse, NY; her sister, Rose Reid (Jerry); her brother, Joseph Krauss (Josefine); and a loving extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

She will be remembered for her quiet strength, caring spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched with her love and grace.

The family will hold a private ceremony to honor Ann's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ann's memory to a local animal rescue.
