Marian V. Anderson Gillette, 88 of West Side Manor, Liverpool, died Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in New Windsor, IL, she lived in the Syracuse area most of her life. She worked for JC Penney, Dewitt Dry Cleaners and was an avid house cleaner. Her husband, Raymond, of 57 years, died in 1992.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine C. Howard; sisters, Dorothy McRobbie and Ruby Impson; a brother, Eugene Anderson; four grandchildren, Debbie Morgan, Lisa Cain, Julie Boyd and Scott Howard; and eight great grandchildren (All of which referred to her as "Grandma Cookie"), Services will be held on Friday, 10 AM at New Comer Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, Dewitt. Friends may visit on Thursday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
