Marie E. Mascari

Marie E. Mascari, 78, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026.

Marie was born in Syracuse, New York, on October 17, 1947, to the late Carl and Helen Triscari. She was a wonderful lady and very loving. She never had an enemy and was known for her selfless and caring nature.

Affectionately known as “Nana,” Marie was an excellent cook and baker, especially known for her Italian cookies at Christmas time. She worked at St. Joe’s for many years as a benefits coordinator and was a graduate of Henninger School. Marie treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore R. Mascari, Sr., and her siblings, Sally Geruso and Thomas Triscari.

Marie is survived by her son, Theodore R. Mascari, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Sara; her daughter, Regina Rivera, and son-in-law, Mike; her four treasured grandchildren, Christian Mascari, Mason Mascari, Marissa Rivera, and Anthony Rivera; and her two great-grandchildren, Jayce Rivera and Anthony Rivera, Jr.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with a service to follow.
