Marilyn A. DeMarzo, 86, of Central Square, passed away March 20, 2026. Marilyn was born in Syracuse, New York on July 26, 1939 to Milton and Mae Mosher. She started working outside of her home later in life, realizing the importance of caring for children, both her own and others. Marilyn retired from Paul's Teachers Pet after many years in retail management. She was an avid fan of SU basketball and NASCAR. Marilyn truly enjoyed spending time camping with her family in Watkins Glen and Alexandria Bay. Her family was her pride and joy, including her four legged children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Central Square. Marilyn was an independent woman, taking pride in her home. She was always making sure her children were taken care of, calling them everyday, even if it was to just check in.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald DeMarzo Sr.; brother, David Mosher; and granddaughter, Nicole Gower.
She is survived by her children, Debi (Andy) Susco, Don (Cathy) DeMarzo Jr., Richard (Susan) DeMarzo, and Angela (Scott) Gower; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and all who considered her to be a second mother.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 12-3PM, with a service to follow, all at New Comer Cremations & Funerals. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following at the First Baptist Church of Central Square.
The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to all at Iroquois Nursing Home who went above and beyond in caring for Marilyn in her final weeks.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marilyn's name may be made to Humane CNY.
