Mark G. Tiernan

Mark G. Tiernan, 70, of Cicero, NY, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 20, 1954 to the late Gerard E. and Helen P. Tiernan.

 He loved fishing, collecting antiques and going to his condo in Florida and being on the beach. He retired from Verizon in 2012 with 34 years as a field tech.

 He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Cynthia Ostrander; son, David (Lauren Wilson) Tiernan; granddaughter, Madeleine Moon; step-children, Karen (Matt) Molina, Lisa Ostrander, Richard (Lisa) Ostrander; step-grandchildren, Mattea Molina, Jayden Baines, Draiden Manley and Josephine Ostrander; sisters, Patricia Tiernan and Rose Marie Mirchin; brother, Martin Tiernan and nieces and nephews.

 Predeceased by his brother, Christopher Tiernan.

 Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212 on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 4-7pm. Funeral Services will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 10am. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
