Martha E. Smith

With heavy hearts and deep affection, we remember the life of Martha E. Smith, who entered this world on July 21, 1974, and departed peacefully on July 26, 2026. Martha wove a tapestry of unconditional love, resilience, and kindness that will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Martha’s journey through life was marked by grace and unyielding devotion to her family. She was the beloved wife of Daniel Smith, whose partnership with her stood as a testament to unwavering commitment and mutual respect. In their shared years, they built a home animated by laughter, support, and the warmth that only true companionship can bring. Together, they guided their children—Aaron, Nathan, and Hannah—nurturing each with abounding love and wisdom. To her children, Martha was the guiding star, imparting gentle lessons through both words and deeds, shaping them into individuals who now carry forward her legacy of compassion and integrity.

The bonds of Martha’s family extended outward, embracing her parents, Neil and Susan Woodworth, whose influence and support were ever-present throughout her life. As a devoted sister to Sarah Woodworth and Adam Woodworth, she offered a steadfast presence—a confidante in moments of joy and sorrow alike. Martha’s spirit continued to inspire her wider family, including several nieces and a nephew as well as special aunts and uncles who delighted in her gentle encouragement and attentive care.

Martha received an Associate's Degree in accounting from Cazenovia College. She worked for over 25 years at K&A Services.

To all who knew her, Martha was more than her many roles—she was a quiet force for good, moving through the world with empathy, humility, and a sense of purpose. Her kindness radiated in both quiet gestures and empathetic acts, quietly shaping the lives of those fortunate enough to receive her care and friendship.

As we reflect upon Martha’s life, we are reminded that true greatness is often found in the everyday acts of generosity and love. The memory of her gentle smile, her ready laugh, and her deep well of understanding will live on, etched in the hearts of a grateful family and a host of friends and loved ones.

In the wake of her passing, though great sorrow fills the spaces she once brightened, so too does gratitude—for every shared moment, every loving memory, and the lasting legacy of a life so beautifully lived. Martha E. Smith’s journey on this earth may have concluded, but her light endures, illuminating the path for all those she touched.

Her family invites all who knew and loved Martha to join in honoring her life and remembering the beauty that she so selflessly shared with the world.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3494 NY-31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. The funeral mass will begin at 10:00 am, followed by burial at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, 8668 County Rte 57, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
