Marva J. Lindsey

Marva J. Lindsey, 82 of Syracuse, NY, passed away on December 9, 2025. Marva Lindsey was born on March 19, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Charles and Mamie Lindsey.

 She spent her early years growing up in Little Rock before later moving to Chicago, Illinois, where she built her life and created many lasting memories.

 Marva was a woman of deep love and simple joys. She had a special fondness for Michael Jackson’s music, enjoyed working on puzzles and found her greatest happiness in time spent with her grandchildren. Family meant everything to her and she cherished every moment shared with those she loved.

 Marva leaves behind her devoted child; Elizabeth Lindsey; her beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Katera (Nathan), Kaya, Jahlaya and her treasured great-grandchild, Kinsley.

 Her warmth, kindness and love will continue to live on through them.

 Marva Lindsey will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love of family and the joy she brought to those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

 She is predeceased by her daughter, Marva Lindsey; siblings, Marie Thomas, Lucille Mitchell, Charles Lindsey, Frank Lindsey, Maxie Lindsey, Dennis Lindsey and Andrew Lindsey.

 Family and friends may call on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 from 1-2pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals.

 There will be a repass at Eastwood Heights Community Room following calling hours.
