Mary J. Boyke, born March 28, 1965, passed away on May 29, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend whose love for her family was evident in everything she did. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, quick wit, and the countless memories she created with those fortunate enough to know and love her.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Boyke; her son, Scott (Rachael) Boyke; and her cherished grandson, Landon Boyke. She is also survived by her sister, Tina (Keith) Mead; her brother, John (Pamela) Swackhamer; her sister-in-law, Kellie Brutcher; and her brother-in-law, Sonny (Cheryl) Michels. Mary leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, her beloved goddaughter, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure the time they shared with her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Fern Swackhamer; father, Frank Swackhamer and step father, Charles Latz. Her father in law Andrew Boyke and mother in law, Jean Boyke. Her best friend Ann Ryan. As well as our favorite Rotties; Titan, Mercedes, and Macho.
Mary’s family finds comfort in knowing she was surrounded by love in her final moments. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the lives she touched with her generosity, laughter, and unwavering love. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 4-7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY.
A funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
