Mary Ellen Daino

Mary Ellen Daino, 67, of Cato, passed away September 7, 2026. Mary Ellen was born in Brockport, New York on September 16, 1958 to Franklin and Olive White. Mary Ellen retired from New York State, Department of Agriculture and Markets, where she had worked at the State Fair for 40 years as an Assistant Agriculture Manager.  Mary was a Girl Scout leader in Cato, NY, volunteered with the Salvation Army and was also a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed crafting in her free time and also enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters especially watching them dance.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olive (Engall) and Franklin White and her husband, William Daino.

She is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth "Libby" Daino and Erin Daino; brother, Harley White; two granddaughters, Emerson Daino and Sawyer Daino and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 4:00 pm at the Salvation Army, 749 S. Warren St., Syracuse, NY.
