Mary A. Laskowski

Mary A. Laskowski, 90, of Syracuse, passed away on Monday December 8, 2025 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, surrounded by loving family. Mary was born in Syracuse on August 25, 1935 daughter of the late John and Anna Kohanski. Mary retired from Elmcrest Children's Center in Syracuse.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Laskowski, and her daughter Barbara Bell.

She is survived by four sons, Michael (Babette) Laskowski, Joseph (Katie) Laskowski Jr., Anthony Laskowski, Matthew (Mary) Laskowski; two daughters, Joanne Gilmore, Theresa (Gary) Miller, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, Bud (Carole) Kohanski, sister, Helen (Ed) Matyas, along with nieces and nephews.

Mary is widely known for her love for cooking, (catering). She was the one to go to for her Polish/American food and her recipes being handed down by -"Just add a little of this or that."

She was a member of the American Legion Post #1650 Women's Auxiliary. She was past president for Onondaga County Legion and a member of the 8/40. She was an avid participant and held numerous positions within.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 16, 2025 from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.

Services will be held on Wednesday 10am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery.
