Mary H. (Susco) James

Mary H. (Susco) James passed away on September 4, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on January 20, 1970, Mary will be remembered as a loving and generous woman whose life was centered on caring for others and creating a warm, welcoming home for the people she loved.

Mary always put the needs of others before her own. She was known for her kindness, her giving heart, and the comfort she offered so freely to family and friends. Her homes were often a safe haven for anyone needing advice, a great meal, or a shoulder to lean on. She loved cooking and baking, especially preparing meatballs, lasagna, and Italian Christmas cookies that brought family together and made holidays especially memorable.

Mary worked as a waitress for many years in her father's restaurants. Customers really enjoyed her outgoing personality and sense of humor.

She also loved crafting and decorating for the holidays, and Christmas held a special place in her heart. Mary delighted in the beauty and joy of the season, and she enjoyed watching Christmas movies all year round. The warmth, tradition, and togetherness she cherished were reflected in the way she lived every day.

Mary’s greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, and family. She is survived by her daughter, Kayla (Cory) LaMoy; her sons, Salvatore Dimura, Nichols LaMoy, and Adam (Beth) Bailey; her grandchildren, Zeke Bailey, Aria Bailey, Novalee LaMoy, and Leeland Bailey; her fiancé, Mickey LaMoy; and her siblings, Andy (Debbie) Susco, Christina Susco, Thomas Susco, Melody Susco and Luca Susco. Along with many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her, and her memory will continue to live on in the family she treasured so deeply.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Susco; her mother, Eleanor Messano; and her brothers, Johnny Susco and AJ Susco. And many other cherished family members.

Visitation will be held on September 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212. Burial will follow from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Loomis Hill Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Rd, Syracuse, NY 13215.
