Mato Bergovec, 55 of E. Syracuse, passed away on Sunday at University Hospital. He was born in Croatia and worked most of his life as a mechanic in the Syracuse area. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his brother, Joseph, wife Linda, his 3 children, Heidi, Mato II, Kari, 8 grandchildren, along with a niece & nephew & sister-in-law, Bojka.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-6pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
