Michael L. Scheel Sr.

Michael L. Scheel, 64, of Syracuse, passed away September 15, 2026. Michael was born in Syracuse, New York on January 8, 1962 to William and Elizabeth Scheel. Michael had been employed by the G. A. Braun Co. where he worked in the shipping department.

In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Bill Jr., Fred, Frank and Clayton and one sister Margaret.

He is survived by one daughter, Amanda (Salvatore) Madonna; son, Michael (Erin) Scheel, Jr.; two Sisters, Gloria (Dennis) Edwards, Elizabeth Rodriguez; brother, Joseph Scheel; four grandchildren, Zachary, Elijah, Libby and Vincent and expecting granddaughter Valerie in October; also several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Assumption Cemetery, 2401 Court St., Syracuse on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 9:30am.
