Mildred A. Van Auken

Mildred A. Van Auken, 87, of Hastings, passed away September 12, 2026 with her caregiver Sandy at her side. Mildred was born in Cicero, New York on March 16, 1939 to Henry and Ethel Van Auken. Mildred retired from General Electric after 40 years of service.

In her free time, she enjoyed woodworking and crafting, spending time outdoors and spending time with her dog Lulu.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ethel Van Auken.

She is survived by her brother, Donald H. (Debra) Van Auken; two sisters, Barbara Smith and Joanne Webber; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse followed by a funeral service at 6:00 pm.
