Listen to Obituary

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Morgan Marie Benoit, who passed away on October 31, 2026, at the young age of 21, following her battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Syracuse, New York, Morgan was a lifelong member of the community and a graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse High School. She began her career as a teaching assistant with the Syracuse City School District, where she had the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children. She later pursued her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a career she truly enjoyed and took pride in.

Above all else, Morgan's greatest joy was her family, especially her precious son, Kaiden Merritt, who was the center of her world. She spent much of her time making memories with him, surrounded by family and friends. Whether through her laughter, her loving nature, or her ability to bring people together, Morgan had a way of making sure those around her were having a good time. She was resilient, loving, and someone who gave so much of herself to the people she cared about.

Though her time here was far too short, Morgan's strength and the love she shared will never be forgotten. Her life was not measured by the number of years she was given, but by the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she leaves behind. Her greatest legacy will forever live on through her son and the family who will continue to carry her love with them.

Morgan leaves behind her beloved son, Kaiden Merritt, and her cherished niece, Harper Corr, whom she loved spending time with and making memories alongside. She also leaves behind her mother, Lisa Johnson; her father, Shane Benoit; and her siblings, Ceara Benoit, Dakota Benoit, Trever Daniels, Andrew Daniels, Elizabeth Daniels, and Griffin Benoit. She will also be deeply missed by her maternal grandmother, Donna Johnson, and paternal grandparents, Patrick and Brenda Benoit, along with many extended family members and dear friends who loved her.

She is reunited in peace with those who preceded her in death, Salvador Briones, Tracy Bickford, and Norma Bickford.

Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we find comfort in knowing that the love Morgan gave will continue to live on in all of us. She will forever be a cherished daughter, sister, mother, aunt, granddaughter, and friend. Her laughter will be missed, her presence will never be replaced, and her memory will remain in our hearts forever.
