Morris Eugene Cronk, affectionately known as “Moe,”  of Chittenango and formerly North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, New York, at the age of 80.

Born on September 12, 1945, in Jordan - Eldridge, New York, Moe lived most of his life in Central New York, and was able to settle down in Chittenango NY.

In his free time, he had an interest in electronics and technology, home improvement projects around his home and most of all, spending time with family and friends. 

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Moe served his country honorably in the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked for many years at Crucible Industries.

On February 12, 1969, Moe married the love of his life, Kathleen. They shared 43 years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and strength, that only grew stronger each year when raising each of their four boys together.

Moe will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty to family and friends, and the values he carried with him throughout his life. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Stephen; his wife of 43 years, Kathleen, along with his brother Jacob.

He is survived by four sons, Daniel Cronk of North Syracuse, Jeffery (Lori) Cronk of North Syracuse, Douglas Cronk of Buckhead GA, and Bryan Cronk of Honolulu; sister Dora Merkley, brothers William, and Donald Cronk; 9 grandchildren,  2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his partner Kathie Wroblewski and her family as well.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 4-7 PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, North Syracuse. Military Honors will follow at 7 pm.

A private funeral service will held.  

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Upstate Cancer Center.
