Nancy Billings (Brennan) passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026 in her residence. She lived a wonderful full life spanning 90 years. She grew up in Marcellus, NY graduating there where she was brought up on a 100-acre farm loving horses and animals. Before going to Penn Hall College to study fine arts developing her passion for painting beautiful artwork, she was crowned both Miss Syracuse as well as Miss New York State Fair Queen in 1955. The town of Marcellus celebrated by declaring September 13th, 1955 as Nancy Bishop Day and awarded her the key to the city.

She was an avid entrepreneur running a charm school in Oswego called The Deb School, short for debutante. There, she taught "the ancient art of femininity" to girls ages 8 to 18. She also owned a women’s fashion store called Le Dona Fashions in Baldwinsville, NY as well as her own interior design company called By Design Interiors. She enjoyed working at Thomasville furniture, Stickley and Dunk N Bright through her professional career. Nancy is survived by her two sons, Scott Brennan of Cazenovia, NY and Terry Brennan of Syracuse, NY; four grandchildren; Ava Brennan of Boston, MA, Erin Brennan of Syracuse, NY, Evan Brennan of Syracuse, NY and Ryan Brennan of Baldwinsville, NY; three great grandchildren; David Brennan of Baldwinsville, NY, Emerson Brennan of Syracuse NY and Nora Brennan of Syracuse NY.

There will be a private celebration of life planned for family at a later date.
