Nancy P. Boutwell

The family of Nancy (Powers) Boutwell is deeply saddened to announce her passing on April 5th, 2026.

Born on February 11th, a native of Lowville, NY, and a long term resident of North Syracuse, Nancy lived a full and remarkable life. A graduate of Lowville Academy, Nancy had a long career working for a wholesale food distributor as an office manager. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling, rollerblading, and reading.

Nancy touched the hearts of everyone she met and instantly became known to many as “Nana”. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at the age of 88.

She will be lovingly remembered by her 3 daughters, Colleen Dover (Thomas), Karen Goodwin (Clint) and Robin Davidson (Stephen); 6 grandchildren, Nicholas Braxton, Jennifer Adams, Stephanie Chandler, Zachary Moffet, Taylor Davidson and Jacob Davidson; and 7 great grandchildren, Charlote, Gatlin, Grant, Quinn, George, Hampton and Thomas.

Nancy was pre-deceased by her husband, Harry Ray Boutwell (1936-1996); her sister, Jean Conley; and her faithful four legged companion, Sindi.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 10-12PM with a service to follow at 12PM, all at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N Main St., Syracuse, NY. A luncheon will follow at the Spinning Wheel, all are welcome. The family thanks the staff and nurses at Menorah Park for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Helping Hounds.
