Patricia Ann Kriesel September 21, 1946 – October 1, 2025
If you were a friend, you were family.
Patricia Ann Kriesel — known lovingly as Buckwheat, Patti, Pat, BFF, FA, Momma, Grandma Pat, Patty Cakes, Momma Pat, and GiGi — passed away at the age of 79 on October 1, 2025, surrounded by her adoring family. Born in Syracuse, New York, to Francis and Helen Tubbert, Patti lived a life filled with love, laughter, and connection.
Pat retired from Hope for Bereaved, an organization close to her heart, and continued to give back as a volunteer — offering comfort, compassion, and understanding to those in need. She cherished every moment spent with friends and family, especially babysitting and playing with her great-grandchildren, and could often be found walking, enjoying the fresh air, and catching up with loved ones.
She had a gift for making any gathering special — whether it was lunch with friends, shopping, decorating for the holidays, or planning a party. Sunday dinners were her pride and joy, where she served her delicious specialty recipes with love. Patti treasured her lifelong friendships, especially with her “STA girls,” her “PJ girls,” her Hope family, and the many beautiful friendships she nurtured across the world. She and her beloved husband enjoyed traveling, with recent adventures including a Mississippi River cruise and the Panama Canal.
Patti was preceded in death by her father, Francis Tubbert; mother, Helen C. Tubbert; her devoted husband, Robert W. Kriesel, Sr.; and her sister, Elizabeth Putnam.
She is survived by her loving children: Dawn M. (John) Perry, Laura A. (Erin) Kriesel, and Robert W. (Deanna) Kriesel, Jr.; her brothers Frank, Mike, and Jimmy; her sister Kathleen; her six grandchildren: Christina (Scott) Hoag, John E. (Bethany) Perry, Jr., Jesse M. (Sarah) Perry, Jeremy R. (Kelly) Perry, Emma M. Kriesel, and Hanna E. Kriesel; and her nine great-grandchildren, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
