Patricia Ann (Vance) Minota, affectionately known as "Patty Ann," 86, of North Syracuse, passed away at home on Saturday, September 7 , 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer with her loving husband and children by her side.
Patty Ann lived at 113 Standish Drive for over 40 years before moving to Longpoint Road, Brewerton, where she spent her final years close to her family. She was the beloved daughter of the late Irma Pope and Lloyd Whitford.
Her friendships, many of which began in grade school, were lifelong and cherished. Known for her warm, welcoming spirit, Patty Ann was a devoted wife and mother who found her greatest joy in her family. She loved her children deeply and was a constant source of love and support, always present with a kind word or comforting smile.
Despite being given a short time to live after her diagnosis, Patty Ann bravely fought for nine more years, a testament to her strength and love for her family.
Patty Ann was married to her loving husband, Richard Minota, for 50 years. She is survived by Richard, her five children: Randy Foertch (Peggy), Douglas Foertch (Robin), Marjorie Kull, Julie Valenti (Thomas) and Richard Minota Jr. ( Jade); as well as 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her memory will be forever treasured by all who knew and loved her.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-5:30PM with a service to follow at the Liverpool First United Methodist Church, 604 Oswego Rd, Liverpool, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Central NY and the Finger Lakes.
