Patricia Sacco

Patricia Sacco, 82, of Syracuse, passed away on September 16, 2026. Patricia was born in Syracuse, New York, on September 20, 1943, to James and Josephine Varre.

Patricia was a diplomatic, fiercely independent, and intelligent woman who devoted much of her life to caring for and providing for the people she loved. She was hardworking, resourceful, and selfless, with a wonderful sense of humor that brought laughter to those around her.

Patrician worked full time for the court system while tirelessly caring for her husband and son. She was a devoted wife and mother and great provider for her family. Her strength, determination, and willingness to meet the needs of those she loved before her own were defining parts of who she was.

Family was incredibly important to Patricia. She especially enjoyed going with her sister, Barbara, to her niece’s home for Sunday dinners, where she treasured spending time with family while enjoying great food, conversation, and having plenty of laughs. These simple gatherings and the time she spent surrounded by the people she loved brought her great happiness.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, James and Josephine Varre, and her husband, Ralph Sacco Sr.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Hundshamer; son, Ralph Sacco Jr.; and nieces and nephews, Lisa and Nick Pollastro, Sheila and Kenny Cooper, Jillian and Scott Farley, Kristen Hundshamer and Brian Eberline, Colleen Mansfield and spouse, Sheila Stranahan and spouse, Susan Muenker and spouse, Janice Norman and spouse, Cheryl McLaughlin, Michaela Sargent, and Steven Galambos.

She is also survived by other beloved family members and caregivers Nichole Pollastro, Tessa Pollastro, Jasmine Pollastro, Mecca Seals, Taisha Osorio, and the joy of her life, Lexi, and her beloved cat.

Patricia will be remembered for her intelligence and fierce independence, sense of humor, tremendous work ethic, and especially for the love, strength, and selflessness she showed to her family throughout her life.

Family and friends may call on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse, NY 13212. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Mausoleum.
