Peter A. Ruscitto, 76, of Mattydale, passed away Thursday at home. Born in Syracuse, he owned and operated Certified Carpet Service from 1962-1993. He was also a member of the Onondaga Harness Horseman's Assn. and raced horses for over 30 years. Peter was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Army.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Kallweit Ruscitto; five children, Steven (Kelly), Steffan (Shari), Cynthia (Wendell) West, Neal, Kenneth (Nancy); sister, Emily Elia; sister in law, Florence (Joe) Manzi; aunt, Connie Percia; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Hospice of CNY.
