Priscilla Alden Wessels, 76, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Sunday. Priscilla graduated from Syracuse University with a Masters in Social Work and then pursued a career helping others as a psychiatric social worker at the Hutchings Psychiatric Center and several other NYS Agencies. She was predeceased by her brother Bill Alden.
Surviving are her children: Wade Wessels, Everett, WA, Wendy (Roger) Kaiser, Chattanooga, TN, Wynn (Eric) Frost of Manlius, 7 grandchildren: Chelsea, Aubrey, Erik, Sarah, Rebecca, Stephanie & Wade, II, 6 great grandchildren, her former spouse, Richard Wessels, her niece, Priscilla, her nephew, Bill and sister-in-law, Sally.
In keeping with Priscilla's final wishes, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of Priscilla's life will be scheduled by her family at a future date.
The family would like to thank Hospice of CNY and Francis House staff and volunteers for their kind and extraordinary care during Priscilla's final days.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Francis House or Wanderers Rest.
