Raymond A."Ray" Britton, 61, of Oswego, passed away on Friday at Oswego City Hospital. He was born on December 4, 1950, son of Leo Britton and Lillian (O'Neil) (Britton) Snyder. Ray served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart Award, Cross of Valor and the Silver Star. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Constantia. He was predeceased by a sister, Eileen Ross.

Surviving are his step-father, Gerald Snyder of Syracuse; brother, Wayne Britton of Rome, 4 sisters; Gloria Britton of Wichita, TX, Helen Britton McCornock of Altadena, CA, Lynn Barton of Parish NY, Pat Cross of North Syracuse; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Memorial Service will be Wednesday, 6 PM at the North Syracuse Christian Church, 911 Church Street, North Syracuse, NY 13212. There are no calling hours.
