Raymond Sirles, 88, of West Monroe, passed away after a brief stay at the VA Hospital on November 18, 2025. Raymond was born on April 7, 1937, to Harold and Edith Trimm Sirles.
Raymond was a Korean War veteran serving with the Army from 1954 to 1957. After returning from Korea, Raymond traveled the United States with a fondness for the West. He held many jobs before settling with Chauvin Trucking, where he retired.
Raymond was in constant motion throughout his life with his many hobbies and activities. He learned to scuba dive, earned his small craft pilot's license, built a stock car, and raced it a few times. He was an avid boater on Onieda Lake.
During his retirement years, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved to go camping and attend bluegrass festivals.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Sirles, his mother, Edith, son, Clinton Sirles, and daughter, Renie Muck.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sara Sirles; daughter, Edith (Steve) Bellavia; two sons, Phil (Eileen) Antone, and Jeff Sirles; five granddaughters, Lauren Antone, Alyson Antone, Kaitlyn Mann, Elizabeth Boeheme, and Angel Mossow; two grandsons, Callen Aster and Tony Mossow; and great-granddaughter, Miriam Feulner.
Raymond lived a long and good life and will remain forever in the hearts of family and friends.
Family and friends may call on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 4 to 6 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St N. Syracuse, NY 13212. With a service at 6 pm, followed by Military Honors.
