Rebecca A. Barnum, 78, of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday at Upstate Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on February 15, 1935 in Nashville, TN, daughter of Halem and Katherine Silverman. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary, an avid bowler, a Yankee Fan & SU Fan.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard J. Barnum, Sr. and her son, William F. Barnum.
Surviving are her daughter, Katherine (John) Sherbourne, 3 sons: Richard J. Barnum, Jr., James Barnum, Steven (Lisa) Barnum, 8 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren. Rebecca (NaNa) cherished her grandchildren & great grandchildren over the years.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-4pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Graveside services will be held on Monday 10am at Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
