Richard A. Newvine, 82, of Syracuse, passed away surrounded by family on November 24, 2015.
He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a teamster and retired after 30 years. He retired from Boss Linco Truck Lines. He is a member of American Legion Post 1832 in Mattydale.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Judy; sons, Richard Jr. (Sandy), Scott (Jennifer); daughter, Holly (Ted); five brothers and sisters; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his daughter Tammy Newvine-Tangredi.
Calling hours will be 4-7 PM Monday at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. A memorial service will follow at 7 PM at the funeral home.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice of CNY. A special thank you to Andy Aikens and Nancy Kibbey of the VA Hospital.
