Listen to Obituary

Richard A. Allen, 71 of N. Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully at home on July 21st, 2026. He was born in Central NY on March 21st, 1955, son of the late Robert and Delores (Dee) Allen of Constantia, NY.

Rick enrolled in the military at age 19, and served our country for many years as a Navy sailor, earning many awards and commendations.

Rick enjoyed and had a big interest in NASCAR. He loved watching the races as well as collecting memorabilia, including diecast, matchbox and hot wheel cars. He had an entire room dedicated to his collectibles. He enjoyed playing racing games, except for the days of replacing many controllers due to breaking them in frustration of not winning. He was extremely artistic and took great pride in his drawings. He left behind a large, beautiful collection of drawings for his nieces and nephews.

Rick was loving, caring and a fun jokester. He was a great role model for his nieces and nephews, and will be truly missed by everyone that knew him.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 20 years, Sharon A. Allen (Bold) of N. Syracuse; Sister in-law, Cheryl C. Wall (Bold) of N. Syracuse; and nephew, Daniel B. Wall of N. Syracuse.

He is survived by his nieces and nephew, Jennifer Wall of N. Syracuse, April Cosentino (Wall) of Greenville, SC and Savannah and Evan Bold of N. Syracuse; his great nephews and niece, Kyle Benton of N. Syracuse, Anthony Cosentino of Greenville, SC. and Maddison Rosekrans of Tully, NY; as well as his little companion of 7 years, his cat, Emma.

Mr. Allen will be laid to rest at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. 4069 Hewlett Hill Rd. Syracuse, NY 13215
