Listen to Obituary

Robert ‘Bob’ Campbell of Baldwinsville, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 3rd, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born in Harlem, NY to John and Marjorie Campbell.

Bob began his professional career as an Industrial and Electrical draftsman, creating blueprints and ‘as built’ elementary maps of complex industrial systems in and around New York City. His capability was recognized by his colleagues who naturally saw talent he didn’t even see in himself at the time. When an engineering colleague gave him the opportunity to work at the New York Power Authority (NYPA), though the challenge would be massive, he accepted knowing the opportunity would put his family on a firm path into the middle class. He retired from the NYPA in 2002.

A man of simple passions, he loved music, owning over 200 vinyl records. He was a snare drummer in his early adulthood with a Drum and Bugle core. His love of industrial systems led him to develop a love for commercial jet airliners, gaining an intricate understanding of the principles of system redundancy and process safety. He also had a great appreciation for sports and politics, always willing to discuss current events therein.

Robert is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn; his sister, Patrica; his two daughters, Kisha and Jolie; his two sons, Kwame and Omar; along with four grandchildren will remember him as a warm and loving grandfather.

There will be no public calling hours or service at this time.
