Ronald F. Hunt

A lifetime resident of Central New York, Ronald Francis Hunt, 75, of Baldwinsville, passed away April 26, 2025. He is survived by his children, Anne (Kurt) Bouissey, David (Bridgette) Hunt and Jeffrey Hunt; grandchildren, Kayla, Kara, Josh and Henry; and great grandchildren, Aubrey and Layla. He is also survived by Amy Hunt and his stepfather, Harwood Strobeck.

Ron was predeceased by his first wife, Mary (Reith) Hunt Mahoney.

Ron was a devoted serviceman on active duty in the Air Force and then in the Air National Guard, totaling 39 years of service. He was a fence installer, then a tool maker for many years. Later in life, he returned to college resulting in a teaching career in elementary education. He loved working with kids and was well known for his patience. After retirement, he worked part time as a driving instructor for high school students.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 11:30am - 1:30pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, where a memorial service with military honors will immediately follow.
