Rosanne (Bartorillo) Ross, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 20, 2026. She was born in Syracuse on July 19, 1953, to the late Samuel and Phyllis (Fraser) Bartorillo. Rosanne grew up in Cicero and was a proud graduate of Cicero High School, Class of 1971. She went on to balance a full-time career and family life while earning her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Columbia College at Hancock Field. Her professional journey included dedicated service at General Electric, National Grid, and B&R Development.
A woman of deep faith, Rosanne was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, taught religious education classes, and volunteered at the parish fish fry. Upon retirement, she fulfilled her dream of attending daily Mass as part of her spiritual journey. Rosanne lived her faith every day-not just in words, but in action. She found strength in prayer, comfort in service, and joy in trusting God’s plan. Her faith guided her decisions and shaped the way she cared for everyone around her.
Rosanne found joy in traveling across the country visiting family and friends in their camper with David, camping with friends and family, kayaking, capturing sunrises through photography, and cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events. She cherished time spent playing board games and cards and gathering with loved ones. She was always the first one to offer unconditional love and the last one to sit down to any meal.
Above all else, Rosanne was a mother. Her family was the center of her world, and she dedicated her life to nurturing, supporting, and loving them unconditionally. She gave endlessly of herself, always putting the needs of others before her own, offering comfort, encouragement, and wisdom whenever it was needed. Her presence brought peace, and her love created a home filled with warmth and grace.
Rosanne had a compassionate heart that extended beyond her family. She was known for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and her ability to make others feel seen and valued. Whether through a listening ear, a quiet prayer, or a helping hand, she touched countless lives in ways that will never be forgotten.
Though her absence leaves a profound emptiness, her legacy of love, faith, and devotion lives on in the hearts of those she cherished. She will be remembered for her strength, her grace, and the boundless love she gave so freely.
Rosanne was predeceased by her beloved sister, Linda Murphy, in 2017.
Rosanne will be missed by her beloved family, who will carry her spirit with them always. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will never fade.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 53 years, David. Together they raised two daughters: Kristy (Scott) Symons of Windsor, NY, and Sarah Ross of Liverpool, NY, She was a devoted Nana to Jack, Gavin, and Sydney.
