It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ryan D. Armstrong, a cherished individual whose exceptional kindness and caring nature left a profound impact on those fortunate enough to know him. Born on August 5, 1975, in Syracuse, Ryan departed this life on February 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.
Ryan was the beloved son of Dugald Armstrong and his partner Susan. He also leaves behind his dear uncle, Joe Hughes, along with other extended family members who held him in high regard. Ryan often enjoyed heartfelt conversations about his late mother, Jane Hughes, whose memory remained a significant part of his life.
Throughout his life, Ryan was known for his selfless spirit; he would do anything for anyone, embodying the very essence of friendship and support. His enthusiasm extended into many aspects of his life, with a particular love for cooking and sharing meals, where laughter and stories flowed freely among family and friends.
Ryan found joy in various interests, including video games, animals, and the great outdoors, which added vibrant color to his exceptional character. His warmth and welcoming demeanor made everyone feel at home in his presence, creating lasting connections that will be treasured forever.
A visitation in honor of Ryan will be held on February 26, 2026, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals in Syracuse, NY, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a short memorial service at 5:00 PM at the same venue. Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of a remarkable individual who touched so many hearts.
Ryan D. Armstrong will be deeply missed, but his spirit and love for others will continue to shine brightly in the memories of those he leaves behind.
