Sam A. Dio Jr., passed away on Jan. 4th 2026. He was born in Syracuse, NY on April 7th, 1960 to Sam A. Dio Sr. and Carmella B. Losurdo. Sammy was an outstanding musician within the community and touched many hearts through his music and contagious smile.

He is predeceased by his parents.

Sammy is survived by his children, Nicholas, Jenny and Shane; grandchildren, Caroline, Cashius, Asher and Emberly; siblings, Lin Dio Johnson (Pierce) and Frank Dio; niece, Elise; and nephew, Noah; as well as many cousins and close friends.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 12-4PM, with a service to follow, all at New Comer Cremations & Funerals.
