Sandra J. Parent

Sandra J. Parent, born on December 5, 1947, in Syracuse, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, in her beloved hometown, surrounded by family. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.

Sandra was a woman whose warmth touched everyone she encountered. She will be fondly remembered for her favorite recipes, the kind that brought loved ones together around the table, for her infectious laugh that could light up a room, and for her radiant smile that never failed to comfort and uplift those near her. Her spirit was one of love, joy, and an unyielding dedication to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Doris Barrington, her brother Thomas Barrington, Jr., and her former husband, Leslie Carpenter. Their memories live on in her heart and in the stories shared by those who remain.

Sandra leaves behind a loving legacy carried forward by her two devoted daughters, Annette (Lawrence) Chesshire and Julie (Roger) Haskins, and her son, William (Lori) Carpenter. Her joy multiplied through her nine grandchildren: Kayla, Christian, Joshua, Daniel, Dylan, Roger, III, Justin, Mariesa, and Mark, each a testament to the love and nurturing that Sandra so effortlessly gave. She was also survived by her siblings, Lorna Gray, Yvonne Graveline, William Barrington, John Barrington, Debra Fuller, Kimberly Owens, and Patricia Edwards, who, along with several nieces and nephews, will cherish her memory and carry forward her legacy of kindness and warmth.

Sandra’s life was a beautiful mosaic of love, family, laughter, and unforgettable moments. She taught those around her the true meaning of giving and happiness, leaving a lasting imprint on every soul she encountered. While her presence will be deeply missed, the love she sown will continue to bloom in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 9, 2026 at 2:00pm at the Meadows in Radisson, NY.
