Sandra Stevens

Sandra Marie Stevens (Cornelius), 54, of Pennellville, New York, passed away peacefully in her home on the late evening of Tuesday, November 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 20, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan.

Sandra was a fiery woman, known for the boundless passion she held for everyone and everything she loved. She possessed an indomitable spirit and will forever be remembered as the strongest and most resilient woman her family and friends had the privilege of knowing. Her legacy is one of fierce love and unwavering dedication. Sandra was a mother above all else, devoting her life to her 5 children. They were blessed to have a woman like her as their mother.

For the last 10 years, Sandra was a dedicated and valued employee at Target, where her vibrant personality touched many lives. She had a unique ability to forge connections, turning colleagues into fast friends and extending her definition of family to those she worked alongside.

She is profoundly missed by her loving husband and partner of nearly 35 years, Howard Stevens; her sons, Ryan Cornelius (Heather) and Douglas Stevens; Son-in-law Michael LaCross and her daughters, Sylvia Pennucci, Jessica Stevens, and Raven Stevens. Sandra was the proud grandmother to her cherished granddaughter, Emily and her many grandsons: Anthony, J.cito, James, Jackson, Nolan, and Finnley. She is also survived by her mother, Karen Hankey (Pruner), stepfather Alan Hankey and her siblings, Alexandra Millett (Mark) and Joseph Gersbacher (Kris) and several nieces and nephews.

Sandra was predeceased by her father, Chester Cornelius; her beloved daughter, Heather Stevens; and her stepfather, Fredrick Gersbacher.
