Shannon F. Barnes

Shannon F. Barnes, 65, of Syracuse, NY passed away unexpectedly on July 14, 2024. Shannon was born in Elmira, New York on January 28, 1959. Shannon was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy. She went on to earn her Bachelor's in Fine Arts at Syracuse University and was a member of Magna Cum Laude and Golden Key International Honour Society. Shannon's greatest passion in life was the arts. 

She was preceded in death by her father Robert F. Barnes; mother, Patricia (Marcus) Barnes; 2 sisters, Shaun and Gail; and 4 brothers, Michael, Mark, Casey and Richard. 

Shannon is survived by her two sisters, Meghan (Jim) Sloyka and Tobi (Donnie) St. John - Carbone; brother, Patrick T. (Karen) Barnes of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

A private Mass will be held at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception at the convenience of the family.
