August 19, 1938 — June 27, 2025

Sharon Kay Cooper, 86, of Baldwinsville, passed away June 27, 2025 at Francis House. 

Sharon was born in Twin Lakes, Iowa on August 19, 1938 to the late Glen Michaels and Dorothy Hurdel. She retired from Kemper Insurance after many years of service. Following her retirement she worked in facilities at multiple area hotels. She loved owls and her dog Bella. Sharon enjoyed word search puzzles and watching her favorite soap opera. Sharon had an enormous sweet tooth. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Cooper. 

She is survived by a son, Ricky (Tammy) Cooper; three daughters, Tami (Jason) Mott, Cindy (Jeff Ballard) Piedmonte, Chris Cooper; grandchildren, David Sims, Nicole Geiger, Derrick Cooper, Joel Mott, John Piedmonte, Tiffany Gilroy, Brittany Salinas, Casey Cooper; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Williamson; and many nieces, and nephews. 

Calling hours are Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, Syracuse, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 7:00 pm.
