Sherrylee Hennessy

Sherrylee Hennessy, born January 30, 1978, in Greenock, Scotland, passed away on April 14, 2026. She was a vibrant and free-spirited individual whose love of the outdoors and music touched the lives of all who knew her.

Sherrylee embraced life's adventures with an infectious enthusiasm. She had a deep appreciation for nature, often finding joy camping at Oneida Shores and spending lively moments at the beach. Her passion for music was a constant, harmonizing beautifully with her free-spirited personality. Sherrylee cherished the company of her friends, valuing the time spent together above all else.

She is survived by a devoted family who held her in great esteem. Her loving mother, Janice (Tom Cramer) Homer, alongside her father, Michael W. (Pamela) Gunther, Sr. and step-mother, Sharon Hennessy carry forward her memory. Sherrylee was a proud mother to Taylor (Ryan Murtaugh) Hennessy, Anna Martini, and Anthony Martini, who, along with her grandchildren Owen Topolski, Laylah Murtaugh, and Brandon Murtaugh, will forever cherish her warmth and guidance.

She was also beloved by her siblings David Gunther, Ryan Gunther, Megan Hennessy, Mark Hennessy, and Michael Gunther, Jr., as well as her step-siblings Kara Squires, Melissa Sabine, and Caleb (Briana) Godfrey. Sherrylee’s life was enriched by many nieces and nephews who remember her fondly.

A visitation to honor Sherrylee’s memory is scheduled for April 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212.
