Shirley E. Crossman, lovingly known as Sissy, passed away on October 28, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on April 7, 1965, Shirley will be remembered as a woman whose kindness, strength, and generous heart touched the lives of those around her.

Shirley attended East Syracuse Minoa High School. Throughout her life, she was known as a loving and caring person who consistently put others before herself. She carried a true can-do attitude and faced life with determination, offering steady support and compassion to her family and friends. Those who knew Shirley will remember the warmth she brought into a room and the way she made people feel cared for and valued.

She also found joy in music. Shirley was a fan of Country music and Oldies, and she loved to sing. These simple but meaningful pleasures reflected her spirit and the happiness she shared with others.

Shirley is survived by her devoted husband, Scott Crossman, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage. She also leaves behind her children, Crystal Crossman, Laurie Brady, Janet Mothersell, and Robert Mothersell, who will carry her love and memory forward. She is also survived by her sister, Tina Orso, and her brothers, James Mothersell and John Mothersell. Each of them held a special place in her life, and her love for her family remained at the center of all she did.

She was preceded in death by her father, James A. Mothersell, by her 2 sisters, Anna Mothersell, April Mothersell and little brother Sean Mothersell.

Shirley’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her caring nature, her determination, and the love she gave so freely.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
